Hi dogs,

it’s time your humans get some training.

Play

At Space City Canine, every dog and owner starts with a Connection + Clarity package, where we build engagement, trust, and communication through play. From there, you can choose the path that best fits your goals, including Everyday Companion for obedience and recall, Adventure Pup for trail manners, safety, and off-leash reliability, or Zen Dog for reactivity, anxiety, and behavior challenges. No matter which path you take, my mission is to help you and your dog understand each other and thrive together.

Explore

Dogs learn best when they’re engaged and having fun—just like we do. That’s why play is at the core of my training. It builds trust, improves communication, and makes learning something your dog actually enjoys. Instead of relying on force or frustration, together we will tap into your dog’s natural instincts to create a training experience that feels like teamwork.

Play teaches impulse control, focus, and problem-solving in a way that keeps your dog eager to learn. Whether we’re working on obedience, recall, or behavior issues, play helps reduce stress, build confidence, and create a dog that listens not because they have to, but because they want to.

Train

Give your dog the adventure they crave while reinforcing essential skills with a Training Hike. I’ll take your pup beyond the city to explore nature, build confidence, and practice real-world behaviors along the way. Choose from a one-hour, two-hour, or half-day hike, and I’ll make sure they return home happy, fulfilled, and ready for their next big adventure.

FAQ

  • I have studied and practiced a wide variety of training methodologies, and I take an individualized approach based in learning through structured play. My approach is informed by modern behavioral and neuro sciences, canine ethology, and the learning styles of each dog and owner. My goal is to help dogs and their owners build a strong, cooperative relationship using methods that fit their specific needs.

  • The timeline for results depends on several factors, including your dog’s temperament, history, and how consistent you are with training. Some behaviors can improve within a single session, while more complex issues—like reactivity, anxiety, or impulse control—take time and patience to resolve.

My training isn’t about quick fixes; it’s about restructuring the way your dog relates to you in order to set the foundation for lasting change. My goal is to give you the tools to maintain and reinforce the progress you make long after our sessions are over.

  • Yes, I work with dogs experiencing reactivity, fear-based behaviors, and certain types of aggression. However, not all cases are the same, so I evaluate each dog individually to determine the best course of action.

My approach focuses on addressing the root cause of the behavior while implementing structure, communication, and management strategies to set both the dog and owner up for success. If your dog’s behavior requires more intensive rehabilitation than I can provide, I’ll be up front about it and refer you to a specialist if necessary.

  • I currently work with dogs six months and older.
